Rays of Hope Children center is a child- centered initiative dedicated to supporting vulnerable children through practical care, protection, and hope. We serve children who have faced hardships, neglect,poverty,and unstable living conditions, and we work everyday to give them a chance at a better future.

What we do
We provide school fees, scholastic materials, school uniforms, and other educational resources to ensure every child has access to quality education and the opportunity to build a brighter future.
We also promote the emotional, social, and personal development of children through mentorship, guidance, recreational activities, and life-skills development.

We help children access medical care, health checkups, and specialized support when needed, ensuring they receive the treatment necessary to live healthy lives
We also offer a safe and caring environment where children can feel protected, valued and supported as they grow and develop.
🏥Health & Shelter
Through our food and nutrition program, we provide daily meals, clean drinking water, and nutritional support to our children in our care. For many of the children we serve, these meals are not only a source of nourishment but also a source of comfort, stability, and hope.
Our goal is to ensure that every child receives regular, nutritious meals that support their physical well-being and ability to learn.

About us
Rays of hope children center was founded in 2020, by Njuba Arafat and was formally registered by Bugiri District local government in 2024, with a permit number BGR 813/0555.
The center was established to improve the lives of vulnerable ,disadvantaged children, and elderly people by providing them with basic needs, educational support, skills training, promoting community hygiene and sanitation, fighting against domestic violence and abuse and reducing poverty through income- generating projects.
Rays of hope children center was founded with a simple yet powerful vision -a community where children have a voice, empowered, transformed and free from abuse and realize sustainable development. we work so hard daily to provide essential needs such as food, education, health care, clothing, and emotional support to orphans and underprivileged children. our center is built on compassion, faith, transparency, and belief that every child deserves a chance in life. over the years we have reached several children with meals, education, and safe spaces to dream again we do not just feed children, we empower them with skills, knowledge and discipline that promote a brighter future.

About Founder
Njuba Arafat is the founder and director of Rays of Hope Children Center, a community- driven organization dedicated to supporting vulnerable and disadvantaged children through education, healthcare, shelter, nutrition, and emotional care.
Arafat is a former street child who faced a number of challenges during his young age that forced him grow up fast in mind, guided by a deep belief that every child deserves love, dignity, and a chance to succeed, Arafat devoted his life to serving children and building a brighter future for them.
What began as a simple act of compassion grew into a mission to restore hope and create opportunities for children facing poverty, homelessness, neglect, and other challenges.
Under his leadership, Rays of Hope Children Centers become a safe place where children receive not only basic needs but also encouragement, protection, and the opportunity to dream beyond their circumstances.
Njuba believes that lasting change happens when communities come together with compassion and purpose. Through transparency, accountability, and genuine care, he continues to inspire supporters, volunteers, and partners to join the mission of transforming lives one child at a time.
